The HP Ag Society received a $25,000 grant from the RBC Foundation Community Infrastructure Fund to fund the replacement of all of our toilets, urinals, and faucets in the Agriplex and washbay facilities.
Our facility was built in 1995-96, and these original appliances were at the end of their lifespan. Funding from this grant enabled us to replace old appliances and fixtures with new, water-efficient models, saving water and saving our organization money in utility bills.

A big THANK YOU to Harrison Plumbing and Heating for the installation, and to Val Peterson for the carpentry and miscellaneous fixes along the way.
In April 2024, the RBC Foundation Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF) was launched as part of RBC Foundation’s ongoing commitment to creating more accessible and environmentally sustainable community spaces. CIF provides support for retrofits, repairs, or upgrades to existing public community buildings, as well as construction of new public spaces, focusing on two key objectives:
Environmental sustainability – Funding capital improvements that aim to reduce the carbon footprint or increase energy efficiency of newly constructed or existing community spaces.
Improving accessibility: Funding projects that enhance physical accessibility, ensuring that indoor and outdoor spaces are inclusive for people of all abilities.
